A sprinkle of “aww”, a splash of adorable, and endless cuteness… Where does that leave me? A twin doljabi! It was an absolute pleasure to capture this precious memory for the Lee family.  A doljabi is a Korean tradition where it is a time of celebration for the toddlers as well as a ritual where the child chooses his/or her own fortune as a means of positive foreshadowing. All I can say is the Lee family is going to be a strong line of doctors for many years to come! The news couldn’t be any happier!

Everything about this day was just perfect! The weather was comfortable and breezy, the lighting had a nice overcast, and the energy between these two felt as electrifying as what it probably was on their first date. If this was a precursor to life after marriage, then Bruce and Crystal are in for a great ride! It was a pleasure to capture this life milestone for these lovebirds, and you could tell by their interactions that they simply just work. Congratulations to Bruce and Crystal and I cannot wait for their wedding later this year!

Destination: “Jamaica Mon!”Phil and Janice probably never would have guessed that planning their picture perfect wedding would somehow lead them to the beautiful tropic terrains of Jamaica. When I had the chance to meet up with the couple at the beautiful Secrets Resort, they were already taking in all the amazing things the island had to offer such as the tasty local delights and enjoying the local activities. Watching them engage with the Jamaican culture showed me that these two love birds always seem to live life to the fullest, no matter where they are or what they are doing. One would have never guessed they were here for their wedding, as they simply seemed to be writing out another amazing chapter in their love story. Dive in and enjoy this photo documentary of their spectacular wedding day.

Texas pecan pie meets New York cheesecake as these Southern sweethearts prepare for their Big Day in the Big Apple this Fall. Nancy and Chris have flawlessly handled all the challenges of planning a destination wedding, as well as all the joys life has thrown at them. They are looking forward to starting the next chapter in their lives, and I couldn’t be more excited for them.

Phil’s vision: an elaborate plan which entailed close friends, charcuterie, and full glasses of wine, was topped off with the most beautiful weather New York has seen this summer. The entire proposal was concealed from Diana with a high level of secrecy, despite the ton of people involved in the planning process. It’s a testament to the kind of people these two have surrounded their lives with. Friends traveled far and near in the anticipation and excitement that Phil and Diana were finally tying the elusive knot. It was hard to keep a straight face throughout the entire process as Valerie and I were just so very happy for them, and our tears were on the brink of flowing. Congratulations Diana and Phil – we could not be more excited for such an amazing couple. The next chapter of your lives is to going to be spectacular!

A secret proposal? Check.

When Peter approached me to help photograph his proposal, I could not be more excited! I was so happy that he was making the big move, and being the Southerner that I am, I literally jumped out of my chair and gave a few “yee-haws.”  All of his decisive actions and unwavering determination to make this moment amazing showed me just how ready he was to move onto a new chapter with Cindy. Congratulations guys and I cannot wait for the wedding!

Annie plus Ray equals an engagement shoot exploding with fun and laughter. They are by far, two of the silliest and goofiest people I’ve ever met. Throughout the shoot, the dynamic chemistry between them illustrated how they are two peas in a pod. We braved through the sub-zero weather to capture a beautiful romance in a white winter wonderland.

Happy Birthday Philip! Kicked off the 2015 year with a traditional Korean doljabi event. It is a Korean tradition that celebrates a child’s 1st birthday. The child wears a traditional hanbok and bokgeon, and it’s a ceremony where they bless the child with a prosperous future. There is one iconic moment where the child selects a single toy/item from a set of items in from of him. The items symbolize what kind of future the child will have.  There were six items in Philip’s set and they symbolized being either a future doctor, athlete, entertainer, scholar, being financially sound, or living a long life. Philip started out a little slow, but decisively chose the ball item signifying being a successful athlete! Can’t wait to meet to meet the future Korean version of Jeremy Lin! I had a great time capturing this monumental moment in Philip’s life. What an amazing start to kickoff the next chapter for the Choi family, and please enjoy the beautiful memories of this precious moment.

Congrats to Laura and Mark! These two lovebirds are as silly, quirky, and as fun as they come. Their energy and personalities compliment each other so well – it’s clear just how right they are for one another. They had a gorgeous venue in the Poconos surrounded by a beautiful natural landscape, setting up what was to be an amazing day. There is something truly romantic about winter weddings: the crisp cool air, the rustle of leaves, and the warm embrace of two people in love.  The stage was set, preparations were readied, and all that there was left was for me to do was to capture as much love through my lens as I possibly could. With these two, it was an easy task. It was a pleasure and an honor, and I truly had a great time during this momentous event. Please enjoy the precious memories from this amazing wedding.
